Role Overview

Computronics Lab is looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems for our cutting-edge products in robotics, automation, and smart electronics. The ideal candidate will work closely with electronics and software teams to create efficient, durable, and futuristic hardware solutions.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Mechanical Design & Prototyping

  • Design mechanical structures, enclosures, and moving parts for electronic and robotic systems.

  • Create 3D models, technical drawings, and CAD simulations for product development.

  • Conduct stress analysis, material selection, and thermal simulations to ensure durability.

✅ Product Development & Testing

  • Develop and test mechanical prototypes for new products.

  • Optimize mechanical systems for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with electronics engineers to ensure seamless hardware integration.

✅ Automation & Robotics

  • Design motion control systems, actuators, and robotic arms for automation.

  • Work with embedded engineers to integrate mechanical components with sensors and AI systems.

  • Ensure precision, accuracy, and repeatability in automated processes.

✅ Manufacturing & Production Support

  • Assist in mass production scaling, supplier selection, and manufacturing process optimization.

  • Work on DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.

  • Support 3D printing, CNC machining, and injection molding processes.

✅ R&D and Innovation

  • Explore and apply new materials, fabrication techniques, and smart mechanisms.

  • Stay updated with emerging trends in robotics, automation, and industrial design.

  • Contribute to intellectual property, patent filings, and research papers.

Key Skills Required

✅ Strong expertise in mechanical design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360)
✅ Experience with thermal, structural, and kinematic simulations
✅ Knowledge of robotics, actuators, gears, and automation systems
✅ Familiarity with CNC machining, 3D printing, and sheet metal fabrication
✅ Ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams (electronics, software, AI, and R&D)
✅ Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

🎓 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
📌 Experience in robotics, IoT devices, or industrial automation
📌 Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
📌 Hands-on experience with hardware prototyping and rapid iteration techniques
