The Rain Alarm project utilizes a rain sensor to detect the presence of rain and trigger an alarm. The sensor, which typically consists of conductive plates, detects raindrops by measuring changes in conductivity. When rainwater bridges the conductive plates, it alters the sensor’s resistance, generating a signal. This signal is processed by a microcontroller or circuit, which activates an alarm or indicator, such as a buzzer or LED, to alert users of rainfall. This project is useful for weather monitoring, irrigation control, and as a general rain detection system.
