Password based Circuit Breaker
A password-based circuit breaker enhances electrical safety by requiring a specific code to control power access. This project utilizes the CD4017 decade counter IC, a relay, and additional components to create a secure switching mechanism. The CD4017 IC, driven by clock pulses generated through a series of button presses, sequentially activates its output pins. By configuring a predefined sequence corresponding to a password, the circuit ensures that only the correct input sequence triggers the desired output. When the correct password is entered, the designated output pin of the CD4017 sends a signal to a transistor, which then energizes the relay. The relay, acting as an electromechanical switch, controls the connection to the load, allowing current to flow and powering the connected device. This setup ensures that only authorized users can operate the circuit breaker, enhancing safety and preventing unauthorized access. Such a system is particularly beneficial in environments where controlled access to electrical systems is crucial, providing an additional layer of security against accidental or intentional misuse.
