Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced IT support specialist to join our team and contribute to our journey of enhancing efficiency through technology. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing IT systems and assets, assisting with upgrades and fixes, and providing training and support to our employees as needed. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software, network maintenance, and industry trends to ensure that we remain at the cutting edge of technology.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee IT systems and assets, including but not limited to computers, servers, networking equipment, and software applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and disruption to operations.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software and hardware upgrades.
- Provide technical support and training to employees on the use of IT systems and applications.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
- Engage with employees throughout the company to understand their IT needs and provide proactive support and solutions.
- Monitor IT systems for performance and security issues, and take appropriate actions to address any issues identified.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience working in IT support or a similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software, including operating systems, productivity software, and business applications.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users effectively.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) are desirable but not required.
