DHT22 Digital Temperature and Humidity Sensor Module AM2302

The DHT22, also known as the AM2302, is a digital sensor that measures temperature and humidity with high accuracy. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 80°C and a humidity range of 0% to 100%, with an accuracy of ±0.5°C and ±2% RH, respectively.

The sensor uses a capacitive humidity sensor and a thermistor to detect environmental conditions, outputting a digital signal on the data pin, which simplifies integration with microcontrollers like Arduino. However, it requires careful timing to retrieve data, as new readings are available only once every two seconds.

Compared to its predecessor, the DHT11, the DHT22 offers improved precision and a broader measurement range, making it suitable for applications that demand accurate environmental monitoring.
